Thesis title; Optimisation of asset management strategies based on life cycle cost due to non-reliability. A wind energy case study.
This thesis provides an excellent application on a very common and important industrial issue: to optimize the maintenance work so that it maximizes the availability of the equipment for the asset owner without spending excessive amounts of money. The thesis has both high scientific and professional value. Indeed, the author proved his deep insight into the reliability and the maintenance strategy theory. Based on theory, practical maintenance scenarios are studied, thus bringing to proposals for cost reduction in the frame of the asset life cycle.
